BL manga artist Scarlet Beriko has given interviews to Akiko several times for her Japanese language book (2017) and her fully-subtitled “BL with AKIKO” channel. In order to celebrate with her global fans, she released her most recent “Nagahama To Be of Not To Be” (almost) simultaneously in 11 languages in February 2024. Dr Khursten Santos is an Assistant Professor in the Japanese Studies Program at Ateneo de Manila University. Her works on BL and fan culture have been published in various books and journals, and her forthcoming research examines the trend of FiloAU within KPOP fan spaces in the Philippines.
